Drench hoses are an additional piece of safety equipment. In some circumstances, they may be able to replace an eyewash station (the drench hose must have a stay-open valve in this case). In other cases, it is prudent to include a drench hose as an additional tool in the safety toolbox. Drench hoses are flexible and allow the drenching capability to be brought to an individual in need, rather than requiring them to visit the safety station.
