Option: Lever Handle for Acorn Type 8 T/P Balancing Commercial Shower Valve

Option -LVR provides a lever handle for the Acorn Type 8 T/P balancing commercial shower valve, which automatically mixes hot and cold water to deliver blended water within a specified range. In the event of cold-water failure, the thermostatic motor virtually shuts off the hot water.

This shower valve meets the most stringent performance criteria for temperature and pressure changes, providing uncompromised bather safety and comfort for any tub/shower application.

Although designed and built for the challenges of commercial and industrial facilities, it is cost-competitive with high-end Pressure Balancing Valves. The T/P Valve combination allows even the most cost-sensitive properties to meet the budget without the scalding risk associated with type P Valves.

The trim of this valve features a single-lever handle, eliminating the possibility of pinching the bather's fingers while closing the valve design.

Valve Features

• The valve used is an  Acorn ConTrols® Model SV16  Shower Valve.
• Ceramic shut-off components for long-term, drip-free reliability
• Lead-Free certified DZR brass body with corrosion-resistant and lead-free internal components
• A self-contained, field-reversible cartridge eliminates cross-piping and offsetting of valves in a back-to-back type installation
• Commercial quality paraffin sensor provides repeatable, reliable performance
• Integral check stops to isolate individual valves for servicing and to prevent backflow
• A non-rising stem ensures the benefits of the trim even when the valve is fully open.
• The all-metal Lever Handle Trim eliminates pinching of the bather's fingers while closing the valve. It is available where ADA compliance is not necessary.
• Optionally, a patented all-metal Tri-Lever trim is available. This trim provides Ligature and Vandal-Resistance and ADA Compliance throughout the full operating range.
